Your Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Provider
At Rejuv Medical, we treat all orthopedic and sports medicine injuries spanning from an acute injury to chronic pain. After listening to your history, we will perform a full evaluation and examination of your injury, which will direct us to your best, individualized plan of care.
Our treatment philosophy is patient-centered and evidence-based, meaning we use the best practices to get you better. We work with you to determine your goals, whether it’s returning to the field or full independence with daily activities. We don’t just evaluate the afflicted joint, we look at surrounding muscle and other joints that may be contributing to your injury. Pain and injuries are multi-factorial and we take the time to evaluate and treat each causative factor.
Rejuv Medical is a multi-disciplinary clinic and there is an open dialogue between physicians, therapists, and trainers, so we are all on the same page with your personal care plan. Running is a common form of exercise for a variety of individuals, as it is a great cardiovascular workout and takes no equipment. Unfortunately, 20-80% of runners are injured each year due to the repetitive nature of the movement. Running injuries can be caused by weakness, stiffness, altered lower extremity alignment, and faulty mechanics, just to name a few. At Rejuv Medical, our running injury evaluation includes: 1) full physical therapy evaluation of the painful joint, focusing on tests specific for runners 2) slow-motion video analysis of your running mechanics 3) exercises and/or running drills to correct the reasons you’re in pain Our goal is to let you continue running. We only make you take time off and cross-train if it is absolutely necessary. If you are asked to cease running, we use a gradual return to running progression that has been shown to decrease risk for re-injury. All evaluations are performed by a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy. Many other sport-specific movements can be taped and analyzed as well.
