Agility is a word that is typically only thought of for high level athletes, but did you know that agility is an important part of everyday movement and injury prevention?  Agility is defined as having the ability to quickly adapt to a change in position, conditions or direction.

We all need agility for simple everyday tasks such as stepping in and out of a shower, climbing a step stool, chasing a toddler, catching ourselves when we slip on the ice to name a few.  While agility training is needed for performance sports such as football and soccer, it is also important for recreational sports such as golf, hiking, skiing, tennis or pickleball.  The better your ability to adapt to or accelerate while changing direction can greatly improve your skill level but more importantly is essential for preventing injuries.

Regardless of your age or fitness level we all need to be agile and the only way to do that is by training your body to adapt to those specific conditions.  Agility training is a fun and challenging way to work out that is easily adapted to all skill levels.

What better way to strengthen and refine your reflexes, coordination balance and speed then to join us in B.A.S.E. camp every Tuesday at Rejuv where our focus of the day is agility.

See you on the turf!
